There Will Never Be Another You/
Give Me The Simple Life
Produced by Lisa Maxwell & Bob Dorough
Arranged by Bob Dorough
In 2009, after an 18 month ordeal involving 3 surgeries on my vocal cords, I got the chance of a lifetime to record with jazz legend Bob Dorough at the famed Nola Recording studio in New York City. We did 2 tunes, "There Will Never Be Another You" and "Give Me The Simple Life". Both tunes speak perfectly to and about Bob, perhaps the happiest and most gracious person I've had the pleasure of meeting. Though I was certainly not at my "vocal best" no one could have made me feel more at ease.
I was then priveleged to be his guest at St. Peters Church, for a Midday Jazz concert appearance in 2013. He is the essence of joy and authenticity, and everytime I sing he is the angel sitting on my shoulder.
Thank you Bob.
